Get to know Bethanie!

Bethanie, an Education Abroad Advisor at NMSU since August 2022, is driven by her love for travel and culture. Her goal is to help students find the perfect location to study abroad, igniting their love for exploration. Her journey began with a college summer prep program before her freshman year of college in Rhode Island, and she has been passionate about exploring new locations ever since. Originally from Seattle, she moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and then to Las Cruces to pursue her bachelor's in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management, becoming an alumna of NMSU.

Bethanie advises on Australia, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, New Zealand, Western Europe, and the National Student Exchange.

Advice for Students
Do something out of your comfort zone! Everybody should have the option to explore a new culture, even if it's not studying internationally. Domestic exchanges are an excellent option! My biggest regret was not studying abroad domestically or internationally while an Aggie!
